QTVR (QuickTime Virtual Reality) is a technology developed by Apple Computer, Inc. which allows a series of images to be 'stitched' together to create a 3-dimensional representation of an object (Object Movie) or an environment (Panorama).

QTVR Object Movie

This allows the user to rotate an object around to view it from various angles. This can include rotation horizontal, vertical, and angled. This is ideal for showing users what all angles of an object does or will look like.

QTVR Panorama Movie

This allows the user the ability to navigate around the environment turning around (in some cases) 360 degrees horizontal. The Panorama technology also allows for rotation along a vertical axis.
